Sorry for the long hiatus. I lost steam after midterms, finals, and a trip to Mexico. But I assure you, I will be posting again with some regularity.
Why did I chose 5 am on a Saturday to make this declaration? The only drawback to creating a bird habitat in your back yard is that birds wake up early. Not only do they precede dawn, they like to get all their communication done first thing. Right now a charming bird is singing his heart out in our laurel, which is right outside our bedroom window. I think he is trying to draw attention to himself in an attempt to woo a mate. Who's attention has he actually captured? Luna's! Our indoor cat huntress, who is making that yak-yak-yak noise and throwing her self a the window above our bed. The cycles of nature are really very calming. Sigh.
So a little preview of what's coming up on the blog - I've got a whole bunch of posts that I started and didn't finish yet but plan to, I've been participating in an office diet bet and have lost six pounds (yay) so you'll see calorie info with newer posts, and soon the garden will be a big topic (provided it really does continue to hit 60 degrees a few times in the coming weeks).
Since I'm up, I'm going to go through and quickly post some of the stuff I have sitting in draft. Seems a shame to waste them or this unexpected few hours of morning. OK, there are now a bunch of old posts from February (yikes!) below and maybe a few more of those coming.

I'm glad you are blogging again! Love the new posts. I esp want to make that BLT! I got up way too early this morning too, thanks to early rising animals. Lily started barking at 5:30, and then Oogie started howling outside our door less than half an hour later. It is a beautiful morning though!
ReplyDeletePsyched you're blogging again! Yay! (Even if it was a bird-heavy morning that did it)
